  • 1 cup frozen lime juice ensure it's thoroughly frozen for best texture
  • 1/2 cup tequila preferably silver or blanco
  • 1 cup ice cubes adjust for desired thickness
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup optional, for sweetness

Method
 

  1. Rim the glasses with a damp cloth and dip the edges into salt to coat slightly, then set aside.
  2. Add the frozen lime juice, tequila, ice cubes, and simple syrup into the blender.
  3. Stop the blender and check the consistency—if it’s too thick, add a splash of lime juice or more ice, then blend briefly again.
  4. Pour the slushie into the prepared glasses, filling them close to the rim.
  5. Optional: Garnish with a lime wedge or a small sprig of mint for a decorative touch.
  6. Serve immediately while icy and refreshing, and enjoy the burst of tart, salty flavor with each sip.

Notes

For a sweeter slushie, increase the simple syrup or substitute with fruity juices. You can also experiment with different fruit purees for a colorful twist.
